Personal Statement:

In 2018, my wife and I moved to Tampa, Florida, allegedly to retire. Shortly upon arriving, 然而, I served as an investigator and hearing officer with the Florida Commission on Offender Review for two years, where I provided due process rights to parole violators in Hillsborough and Pasco counties. In 2020, I decided that it's never too late to pursue my dream of teaching in secondary education and obtained an educator's certificate in social sciences (6-12) from the Florida Department of Education. I am currently the director of the Criminal Justice Academy at Fivay High School in Hudson, Florida.

I am a graduate of the U.S. Air Force's Air War College with a post-graduate diploma in strategic studies, the U.S. Department of Defense's Defense Information School and the Harvard Kennedy School of Government's homeland security senior leadership development program.

I am a proud and passionate veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom. I am obsessively dedicated to golf and guitars, having developed mild-to-moderate competence in each, as well as ice hockey, a sport I have played for more than 45 years and coached at my hometown high school (Lincoln, R.I.) and Rhode Island College for 25 years.
